BSFIS Curriculum for A Levels

A Level curriculum at BSFIS accommodates students’ changing attitudes and helps them carve a progress trajectory amalgamating their personal development and academic success. We assist in choosing the subject of their interest, develop their projects, provide internship and summer school opportunities, and help them to participate in events for the social cause which helps strengthen their character as well as university applications. Our A Levels programmes come replete with experiments, surveys, research, workshops, and interviews which enable students to get in-depth information about a topic including subject knowledge, the process, implications, its global perspective, its future, and how they can find their abilities to resonate with the subject.

At BSFIS, for CAIE A Levels, we offer flexibility related to subject selection and learners can choose to specialise in a particular subject area or study a range of subjects. Our curriculum is designed to focus on 360 degrees of development of students where the academics are fortified with sports, cultural events, leadership programmes, youth empowerment programmes, social service, climate consciousness, international diplomacy training, and more.

BSFIS’s Student Leadership Programme

Our Student Leadership programme aims to nurture and develop the ‘Leaders of Tomorrow’. The programme is made up of four modules that build the skills of Self and Social Awareness, Goal Setting, Strategic Planning, Marketing, Communication, and Fundraising. The purpose of the programme is to guide and shape the leadership development of a student so that they can use their time, money, and voice to impact the world today!

As a part of the programme, we inculcate two sets of skills which are vital to imbibe and strengthen leadership skills:
Soft Skills: These include social consciousness, analytical and rational approach, youth empowerment, compassion, and virtues that shape a global citizen.

Hard Skills: These include team building, goal setting, strategic planning, organizational skills, marketing, event planning, community mobilisation, communication, fundraising, etc.

BSFIS - Mentorship

We assign individual mentors to students who guide, challenge, and nurture them with resources in the form of multimedia content with pictures and videos, personal training, counselling, and motivation.

International Leadership Programmes- The Leadership Programme enables students to discover actionable leadership skills and tools on several key leadership topics.

Summer Schools- Summer schools give students the experience of studying at a top university and learning from top professors. We provide summer internship programmes to top foreign universities like Oxford, New York University, and Harvard as well as top Indian universities like Flame, BITS Pilani, etc.

Internships- Students learn how to apply the knowledge they have acquired during the internship while meeting new people and understanding the professional world.

Olympiads and competitive examinations- Competitive exams help determine the initial career path while building logical reasoning, aptitude, and nuances of the subject.

College Counselling: Cialfo

BSFIS has partnered with Cialfo, a career counselling platform through which students are exposed to a wide variety of careers and universities in India and abroad to facilitate a scientific approach to making informed choices. Along with the counsellor at BSFIS, Cialfo’s student academic advisor facilitates the choice of pre-university courses based on further aptitude and personality tests. This is followed by counselling sessions for the students and parents so that post-IGCSE pre-university course selection is made thoughtfully and diligently. Parents and students are trained to use the Cialfo platform optimally. Students are further guided for the subject selection for A Levels. College Counselling enables students from Grades 9 and 10 to choose from subjects in the A Levels, IB or any other High School Program.

AP (Advanced Placements) examinations of the College Board at BSFIS:

BSFIS is affiliated with the College Board so the students can opt for AP ( Advanced Placements) examinations in the specialised subjects of their choice.

The advantages of taking AP exams:
